Critical Components of Effective Governance Part 3 Another Great Success!

On January 24, Waco Foundation completed the final session of a 3 part series on board governance. The training, which used the “Critical Components of Effective Governance” curriculum provided insight and direction on an array of good governance practices. Attendees learned the value of having appropriate Directors & Officers Insurance, how to capitalize on board time and energy through the use of task forces, board and CEO assessments, strategic fundraising tactics that any board member can utilize and so much more.

Those who attended the entire series received a certificate in Nonprofit Board Education from BoardSource®, a nationally recognized nonprofit specializing in providing nonprofit governance expertise and consultation services.

The sessions were attended by representatives of approximately 50 nonprofits from throughout McLennan County and beyond. With each session averaging a minimum of 140 people, the series provided a wonderful opportunity for training and networking.

We hope you’ll join us for our next big event on March 22: Donor Centered Fundraising.
