Communities in Schools Request for Services Proposals

Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas is requesting proposals to provide Community Youth Development (CYD) services to children and youth in the 76707 zip code area from November 2012 through  August 2013.

The goal of the CYD program is to implement educational, employment, recreational, health, and supportive services that promote the social and economic well being of youth and their families.   In order to minimize the prevalence of juvenile crime and the destruction of our youth and community, we will offer services which will impact our youth’s school attendance and performance, build their self-esteem, and enhance their decision-making skills.  We will provide meaningful activities, which will enable them to avoid gang, crime, violent or delinquent activities.

To learn more about this opportunity, please read the Request for Proposal (RFP).  Also available for help are the following documents: Plan of Operations, Budget, and Budget Narrative

A Bidders’ Conference will take place at the CIS Central Office (ALICO, Suite 1500) on Thursday, 4 October 2012, from 1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.  Potential applicants can learn more about the CYD program and this RFP at the Bidders’ Conference.

Potential applicants are asked to submit a Letter of Intent by 5 October 2012 (although non-receipt of a LOI has no bearing on the evaluation of a responsive proposal), and must submit a proposal and all required documents to the Communities In Schools office at 425 N. Austin Avenue, Suite 1500, Waco, TX, 76701 by 1:00 p.m. on 19 October 2012, as outlined in the RFP.
