Corporations Value Collaborations Too!

As we’ve already alluded, the giving standards, expectations and goals of foundations and corporations often align. With grantmakers on both sides of the aisles looking for ways to make their dollars and impact stretch, collaborative opportunities are increasingly gaining support. A recent Chronicle of Philanthropy  article shared that “some grantmaker think it’s a waste of time to give to charities that have similar missions”, but don’t collaborate with each other.  While your particular approach may be unique, there is a good chance that someone else in your community is working on a similar problem/need. If you haven’t already done so, make every effort to identify similarly minded service providers and start a conversation today about what’s being done community-wide to tackle the issue at hand. …it could earn you brownie points!
