Homework tutors at East and West Waco Libraries – Homework tutors needed for elementary through middle scholars. Meals and Wheels needs volunteersMeals and Wheels, 501 W. Waco Drive, needs seasonal and permanent volunteers to deliver meals to homebound older adults. Volunteers work about one hour per week to deliver a meals route. For more information, call 752-0316 and ask for Barbara, director of volunteer training.

Do You Need Volunteers? - The Baylor chapter of the International Justice Mission is seeking volunteer opportunities. This student leadership group endeavors to be involved in justice programs nationally, internationally, as well as locally, and they would like to offer immediate, hands-on help to Waco organizations. Road to Damascus ministry seeks volunteers – Road to Damascus is currently seeking, dedicated, hard working, and heart-warming volunteers to assist / work the following areas: answer telephone calls and follow up with clients, case management, intakes, file, organize, and type paperwork, supervise and run clothing closet and gift in kind program, mentors, tutor adults and kids in various subjects, teach a six week life skills class twice a year.

Volunteers for Your Organization – The Junior League has a place where non-profits can request volunteers for service projects. Please see the “Done in a Snap” page of the website: Junior League Done in a Snap. All volunteer requests must be for community-based, hands on opportunities that will have an impact on children and adolescents in the Waco/McLennan County area.

Done-in-a-Snap projects cannot involve fundraising or be administrative (envelope stuffing, labeling, office work) in nature. The Junior League requests one month advance notice of an event to allow the League to obtain the necessary League approvals.

Friends for Life – The nonprofit Friends for Life needs volunteers to drive its clients to appointments.FFL provides assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities in Central Texas. Volunteers can be scheduled as their schedule allows. For more information, call Della at 772-8100, ext. 110.

Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) - is serving 27 women this semester. They need four more journey partners. A journey partner is a woman who will get to know one of our CWJC women and walk with her as she makes positive lifestyle changes. Training is provided.
